Lavender Fields Housing Development is on the site former occupied by Reiter Scragg and then Langley Business Park. The site is situated to the south of Langley village 3 km east of Macclesfield in East Cheshire. The redevelopment consists of 76 dwellings/apartments including 2.5 storey semi-detached houses, 2 storey terraced houses, 2 storey semi-detached houses, 2 storey link-detached houses and 2 storey detached houses. Outline planning permission for the development was submitted in 2011 but took years to approve. Architects Millson Associates Ltd said the scheme had to take into account homes along Cock Hall Lane and Langley Road, and the existing reservoir and culvert, which will be improved and maintained, adding added: “The proposed development intends to boost the economy of the existing village by creating new jobs and adding to the existing housing stock. The housing development started in 2022 and is due for completion in early 2024. The developer, Seddon Homes, wanted to ensure efficient construction and working at height while maintain the highest levels of safety for the personnel on site. G&M Safe Deck has been used throughout the house construction.
